Day 01: Hanoi Capital – Duong Lam Village – Nghia Lo

Morning 

To start your Northern Vietnam private tour, Go Travel will take you to Duong Lam Village and accompany you in discovering it.

Your private driver will meet you in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and take you to Duong Lam Old Village, a National Cultural Monument with the distinctive architecture of old dwellings, historical temples, and traditional Confucianism culture. Stop for a nice meal at a local home. Then take a brief snooze to relax.

Afternoon

Visit Nghia Lo, a region in Yen Bai province famed for its beautiful rice terraces and hilly scenery. The region is also home to a variety of ethnic communities, each with its own distinct culture and traditions.

Day 02: Nghia Lo – Mu Cang Chai Hill Tribes

Morning/Afternoon

After checking out, proceed to Mu Cang Chai, a place known for its stunning views and rustic charm. This location is also home to a variety of ethnic cultures, providing a distinct cultural experience:

  • Travel to Nam Co Village to experience the H’Mong people’s traditional practices and daily lives.
  • Drive to the terraced rice fields of Mam Soi and La Pan Tan. You may go up to the highest point and enjoy the clear view of the neighborhood.

Day 04: Sapa – Bac Ha Market – Hoang Su Phi

Morning

Arrive in the busy Bac Ha Market, one of Northern Vietnam’s most famous ethnic marketplaces, and see the active trade culture between different minority groups. The market is a vibrant sight, with individuals dressed in traditional clothes.

Explore the market and get a sense of its rudimentary features. You may buy one-of-a-kind souvenirs and presents, like hand-embroidered fabrics, or sample some local foods and specialties, such as grilled meat skewers or sticky rice cakes. After the tour, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon

Visit the Palace of Hoang A Tuong, an amazing architectural structure with a strange blend of baroque and oriental architecture.

Meet the La Chi ethnic group at Ban Phung Village on the Northern Vietnam private tour. Admire their traditional attire, which includes black knee-length skirts and coats with intricate multicolor embroidery.

Day 05: Hoang Su Phi – Ha Giang

Morning/Afternoon

Continue your Northern Vietnam private tour by seeing Tan Su Phin Pass and Cong Troi Pass, two of Vietnam’s most stunning passes in the north. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and don’t forget to take some fantastic photographs to remember this once-in-a-lifetime event. On the drive to Ha Giang, stop for lunch at a small eatery.

Evening

As the sun begins to set, we will arrive at our destination for the night – a stilt house of the local ethnic Tay people.

Day 06: Ha Giang – Dong Van – Meo Vac

Morning

  • Explore the Karst Plateau Geopark in Dong Van, a fascinating place with enormous tracts of limestone, beautiful mountain scenery, and ethnic minorities’ rich culture.

Day 07: Meo Vac – Bao Lac – Cao Bang

Morning

If you arrive on a Sunday morning, you may go to the local market, where locals sell handmade items and manufacture indigo-dyed jackets on vintage sewing machines in vibrant ethnic traditions. Day 08: Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be Lake

Morning/Afternoon

Day 09: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi
